## Cleaning & Caring for Your Jewelry: Preserving the Beauty of Your 18K Gold Pieces for Lasting Shine

Enamel jewelry is lead-free; however, it is not guaranteed. The enamel may wear off when in contact with chlorine, seawater, body or solar protection creams, and other substances.

  • If you need 1/2 pair earrings or backs, please email your request to info@amaliajewelry.com.
  • We recommend having your children's jewelry cleaned by professional jewelers who understand hard and soft enamel. If they are not knowledgeable about enamel, they may inadvertently cause damage. You can request a free cleaning from us by sending an email to info@amaliajewelry.com.Please note that the enamel, pearls, and other stones in the jewelry are not guaranteed and may wear off or become loose when exposed to chlorine, seawater, body or solar protection creams, and other substances. Please see our FAQs section for more information.
  • If you prefer not to take your merchandise to a jeweler or send it to Amalia Boutique, here are the instructions for cleaning:
    • Soak your gold jewelry pieces in warm soapy water.
    • Gently scrub them with a very soft brush.
    • Rinse them under clean water.
    • Blot them dry with a cloth.

We also recommend that you

  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals:

    • Keep your jewelry away from harsh chemicals like chlorine, bleach, and household cleaners, as they can damage the gold.
  • Store Properly:

    • Store your 18K gold jewelry in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewelry box to avoid scratches and tangling.
  • Regular Inspection:

    • Periodically inspect your jewelry for any loose stones or damage and have it professionally checked and cleaned once a year.
  • Avoid Wearing During Certain Activities:

    • Remove your jewelry before swimming, exercising, or engaging in heavy manual work to prevent damage and exposure to sweat and chemicals.
